Seedance prompt and shot planning resources

Build a Seedance shot brief
Separate the scene from the motion. For a Seedance shot in Shedance, write down what the viewer must recognize, what should move and what the camera should do. A rainy city street can stay visually stable while one tram crosses the middle distance. An orbit, a sudden zoom and several cuts are different shots, not one clear instruction.
Read How to use Seedance for a complete proposed prompt, a text-versus-image comparison and an evaluation checklist. Its original artwork is an editorial concept, not a verified Seedance output.
Decide what the first frame needs to establish
If the composition can be invented, begin with text and describe the subject, environment and light. If a particular composition matters, use an authorized image when the selected model supports it. A first frame provides a starting point; it does not lock every building, face or object in place. Check the model's actual controls for additional references or an ending frame.
For the miniature-city brief, choose street-level framing before describing the tram. Asking the camera to fly overhead in the same short request changes that framing and makes the result harder to evaluate.
Keep a revision log
Save the model label, source image if used, prompt, output settings and quoted credits for each attempt. Compare results at the same size. If a building changes shape, first reduce camera movement. If a shot lacks movement, describe one visible action with a direction. Change one variable per attempt so you learn what affected the result.
| Decision | First attempt | Possible revision |
|---|---|---|
| Subject action | One tram crosses the street | Slow the tram without changing the camera |
| Camera | Gentle forward move | Keep the camera fixed to check the scene |
| Light | Stable shop lighting | Introduce one subtle light change |
| Composition | Clear middle distance | Use a cleaner authorized first frame |
These are planning suggestions, not records of model tests or guaranteed outcomes.
Match the budget to the shot
Select the currently available Seedance option and output settings in the studio, then read the exact credit quote. Duration, resolution and references can affect the required credits. Compare Shedance plans after reviewing that quote and leave room for a controlled revision. A plan does not guarantee a fixed number of finished videos.
Follow a queued job before submitting another copy. When a job is definitively failed, check the release of its unused credit reservation. That is separate from a payment refund, which follows the refund policy.
Choose a reference, then review the result
Browse the video gallery for camera and composition ideas. Treat its previews as inspiration, not proof that a new request will reproduce them. Review the entire downloaded clip for geometry, motion, text and rights before publishing. Keep original reference files and use only media you are authorized to submit.
For an account, credit or delivery problem, open Support with the job identifier and a concise description. See the privacy notice for data handling and the content rules before uploading references. Shedance is an independent service and is not ByteDance's official website.
